Galicia Cruz McNamara

Galicia McNamara is passionate about ensuring environmental safety and community equity. Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, she relocated to central Texas to complete her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. While completing her degree, Galicia was a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Corporate Liaison for Pi Sigma Pi (Minority Academic Engineering Society). With these organizations, she strove to unite and increase the number of minority engineering students who succeed academically, lead professionally, and contribute passionately to their communities.
Galicia has continued to embody her passions for STEM and bettering the world we live in through her career in environmental consulting. In this work, she has helped ensure air quality by providing compliance assistance for state and federal environmental regulations in various manufacturing industries, such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, and electrical producers. Galicia has also worked on global initiatives to reduce air pollution impact from industrial operations.
